Plethora Mounds

After viewing our first two James Bond movies, Zack and I were a little depressed. "Can we stand sitting through 16 or so more slowly paced movies with a few decent action sequences?" I asked myself. If more of the Bond movies turn out like Goldfinger, we might make survive the gauntlet.
Goldfinger deals with the titular villain planning to steal the gold from Fort Knox. As it turns out, Goldfinger's plan is more complicated than it seems. Can James Bond and Pussy Galore save the day?
Goldfinger is a major improvement over Dr. No and From Russia With Love because of its fast pace. Boring dialogue scenes are sparse and the entire movie has many fast paced action scenes. The movie gets a bit slow towards the middle and the end, unfortunately. Still, Goldfinger is a very cool movie, and for a movie from the 1960's to be cool today is an accomplishment.
I give Goldfinger ***1/2 out of ****.

Queen Foranhour

James Bond really didn't have much to live up to after his first two stinkers. There seriously, would not have to be much effort put into making a better movie. I think Mat may have made a better movie with his camcorder, at one point.

In this movie we are faced with a new villain, by the name of Auric Goldfinger. James Bond knows that this man is up to something, but he doesn't know what it is, nor does he have any evidence. So, like any other government official would, he begins to harass the man anyway. The plot twists and turns (at least once) until James Bond uncovers his plot to get rich. I don't want to spoil it so I won't say what it is.

Finally, a James Bond movie that is fast paced, has action, and is entertaining. This movie also has some great characters. We get James Bond and Q argueing, we get a woman that is killed, and her body is covered in gold. We get everyone's favorite super-strong, psychotic asian with a hat: OddJob!. And we get Pussy Galore!.

Coitus Count: 3 ( 2 different women, including Pussy Galore!)
Minutes of Mind Numbering Boredom: Maybe 10-15 minutes.

***1/2 out of ****
