![]() While Dr. No is good for an old action movie, I don't see
why there was a sequel made. Nothing made it exceptionally unusual.
However, From Russia With Love was made and became the first
of many Bond sequels. This time around, James Bond has to stop
the Russians from trying to make the Cold War into an actual
war. Fortunately, Q gives James Bond a suitcase that holds a
knife and a teargas container. From Russia With Love, like Dr.
No, started out very slowly. The action sequences were good,
especially the fight scene on the train and a helicopter encounter
at the end. The battle with Bond against the main villain is
ludicrous
Who thought a chair could be used as a weapon
for a secret agent? After Dr. No, I really didn't expect this movie to be that great. Fortunately, this movie was the first one to feature Q. James Bond is given an attache case, with a springloaded knife in the side, and a packet of Talcomb powder hooked to eplosives. It will go off if the case is opened wrong. He is also given a sniper's rifle that compacts into the handle. The movie has a great setup. Sadly, thats where the good stuff ends. The rest of the movie is one big dissappointment. It could have been so much more. Coitus Count : 4 (2 different women) *1/2 out of **** |
