MAT After some opening credits, The Outsiders looks like some bad Grease rip-off. [E.N. - especially since the book that this was based on, came first.] Matt Dillon is really young in this. His gang is full of greasers. They get into scuffles and stuff. I'm starting to get sleepy. Maybe St. Elmo's Fire will be an improvement. This cast is decent, yet Copalla's directing is mediocre. Very, very plain-long shot, medium shot, CV. [E.N. - ?] They cut their hair with knives. Greasers like to catch those rabbits. Damn, is this movie slow! I fell asleep thru part of it. Here are the first in a series of pictures that Mat didn't know we took. There are two, because neither were good shots. I give it 2 out of 4 stars. GREG I wish my name was soda pop. The opening credit sequence to this movie rules. Ralph Macchio and Leif Garret are in thie movie. Ralph Macchio is cool. So is Emilio. Ah, Emilio. Leif Garret. I saw his behind the music. He is one screwed guy. I bet he was so high when he did this movie. This movie is pretty slow-paced. Ralph gets hurt. Tom Cruise is in this movie. We came extremely close to filming an embarassing sign. Dang it! [E.N. - we later succeeded.] This movie loses points for Ralph Macchio dieing. The fight scene rules. Greasers Vs. Soc's all out. Boo Yah! Was I really paying attention? What I did see was pretty cool, though a bit slow paced. I give it 3 MRU's out of 5 ZACK A bunch of well-known actors as teens. And Leif Garret. Matt Dillon, as a teenager, looks like a monkey. Ralph Macchio killed Leif Garret, I think. Mat just defended the Goofy Movie. What the hell happened to Ralph Macchio? He's the karate kid. Fire can't hurt him. He won the big karate competition with a broken leg. Emilio Estevez is greaser, but he was wearing a Mickey Mouse T-shirt. He could still kick my ass. Conclusion: It was cool seeing a bunch of young actors. The movie was slow. 3 out of 5 Quality Points 2 out of 10 Bratpack Points Mat's Nugget of Wisdom Mat: "That look like the Jurassic Set. It wasn't in an orderly fashion, either. They were randomly scribble all over the page.] Character's name: "Two Bit" and "Soda Pop". "They call me Cherry, cause of my hair." - girl "They call me Cherry cause......" - me "Guy's I'll cut my hair 'til it turns blonde." It's not a good thinf=g when you think a movies over and you look down and see tht there are 40 minutes left. Ponyboy is cool. Matt Dillon is cool, he cries like a man. Rob Lowe and Tom Cruise = cool in this movie. Right Score = awesome [?] Maybe if you had this movie ass-backwards. [?] Conclusion: 3.5
