MAT
Anthony Micheal Hall - he even
looks dorky without glasses. After being shanked by Rober Downey
Jr., no doubt in an effort to support his early cocaine habit,
he manages to look funny. John Hughes is an OK director, at least
for this film. The computer graphics blew. Watching Anthony Micheal
Hall talking to some blues brothers is pretty funny, although
the shower scene needed some nudity. The party scene lacks any
real humor because AMH and his friend are in the bathroom for
the whole time. The scene with the grandparents near the end
is hilarious, as is a weird plot twist. The biker mutants don't
help much. As William Goldman would say, "This movie is
in third act shit!" Other than "The night of weird
shit.", Weird Science is pretty good. The end goes on for
way too long.
3 out of 4 stars
GREG
Gary and Wyatt are losers. They
create a girl to live out their sexual fantasies. Gary is funny.
Mat sucks. This movie takes place in Shermer, Illinois. The scene
in the blues club, rocks. Gary's dad is hilarious. Rober Downey
Jr. is a jerk. A REAL jerk. The black bartender is real cool.
Wyatt and Gary are losers to the max. Mat is making fun of this
movie. Chet sucks. This movie has the song "Tenderness"
by General Public, in it.
Final Conclusion: This movie
= hilarious
Rating: 4.5 movie rating units

ZACK
Gary and Wyatt are the school
dorks. They create a woman with magic powers, using their computer
in a scene more unbelievable than anything seen in the movie,
Hackers. Now Lisa, their woman, is going to turn them into party
animals. The Blues club scene is good. Anthony Micheal Halls
plays a convincing old, drunk, black, blues man. Towards the
end, a gang of mutant bikers show up for the party. It makes
more sense than most of this movie. Damn, I think is trying
to suck this time around.
Conclusion: Overall, a good
movie, Mat is an idiot.
I guess 4 out of 5 Quality Points
4 out of 10 Brat Pack Points.

Mat's Nugget of Wisdom
Mat:"Hey, that guy kind of looks
like Bill Paxton."
Greg:"Uh... that is Bill Paxton."
Mat:"Oh. I guess that explains it then. |
RICH
I enjoy the amazing real life
computer graphics in this movie, and how easy it is to break
into a government computer. It's almost too plausible. I don't
like how AMH's voice goes up an octave, when AMH's friend is
in the bathroom and says "Goddamn," I think it's because
he saw how small his johnson was. AMH is pretty racist in one
scene. Hey, Bill Paxton is the asshole, older brother. "You
know, I'm getting really bored of this shit." Yeah, me too.
Wyatt is getting annoying. The "Toss-off" scene is
good. The black bartender rules. "Tell you what, you bend
over, and I'll shove it straight up your ass!" The killer
mutant scene is cool. I like where the guy says "This Bud's
for you," hands the killer mutant a glass of beer and the
mutant breaks it in his face. This movie starts off slow, but
then it rules. "This is sort of a night of weird shit."
[E.N. - I have no idea what
Rich is refering to here.]
They have 15-minute breaks in between each film.
We don't pull that shit.
Conclusion: This movie started
off slow, but in the end, it rocked.
