The Witches

Starring Angelica Houston

In this adaptation of Roald Dahl's book, Lucas and his grandmother, must stop a bunch of witches from doing evil witch-like deeds. In a portrayal of the Wiccan life style, that's as accurate as Hacker's representation of Hackers, or Meatballs 3's portrayal of summer camp, the witches of the world all share a common goal, of killing as many children as possible, and to be as cruel as possible about it. Their latest, hilarious, plot involves tricking every child in england, to eat a magical bar of chocolate bar, that will be turn the child into a mouse. Lucas uncovers this devious scheme, unfortunately right before he is captured and force fed the magical serum that causes the transformation. Now as a mouse, he must team up with his nutty cigar smoking, witch hunting, grandmother, and some fat kid-turned mouse, in order to stop the witches.

I honestly have to admit, that this movie rules. Of course, I'm only saying that because I happened to have read most of Roald Dahl's books when I was in 3rd and 4th grade. So I am a little biased, but that it isn't like that isn't a first for this site. The directing is pretty good, the acting is never bad, and it also features a cameo from Mr. Bean.

If you haven't seen this yet, I highly recommend that you rent it.
I give it **** out of ****.
