Troma's War

Directed by Micheal Hertz, and Lloyd Kaufman

A commercial plane flight crash lands on an uncharted island in the carribean. When the survivors discover that the island is inhabited by a communist army, that is preparing to invade America, they become America's last hope.

Troma's War was made in the 80's when everyone was making action films. Troma did them one better, by employing a whole bunch of squibs, making characters that are more interesting than most of the characters in action films, and by creating a unique threat for the characters to battle.

This is one of Troma's better movies. It's got violence, nudity, and comedy. It's also the first movie that ever dealt with AIDS. It happens to be one of my favorite Troma movies. There isn't really much more to say.

****out of ****
