Scary Movie 2 has most of the characters from the original... Even the ones who died. Marlon Wayans plays (surprise) the pot-head, Tim Curry is a teacher of a class that studies the effects of sleep disorders, and Tori Spelling gives one of the blandest performances ever. She has 10 or so lines in the whole movie and it's not even clear what her character is supposed to be.

Honestly, I enjoyed the original Scary Movie. It spoofed horror movies that were already spoofs/satires to begin with, and did it well. Scary Movie 2 opens with a funny Exorcist take-off, and then goes down-hill from there. It's just random shit in a Haunted House and this time around, random things are spoofed from a Nike commercial to "The Weakest Link."

There's only so many "look how high he is" or "look how gay he is" jokes you can take before they wear out their welcome.

The beginning is awesome, but the rest of the movie sucks. This sequel was cranked out in a year and it's sad to say when Marlon Wayans was asked by Regis on why they did a sequel, he replied, "We saw the check we received in the mail."

I give Scary Movie 2 ** out of ****.
