POWDER is supposed to be a drama. It fails at that. In fact when I saw it with my friend, we did made comments about it like they do for cheesy flicks in the show MST3K. It is a bad movie however.

The plot is that a couple were about to having a baby. The wife dies during birth and the father refuses to believe this is his son- since he is a hairless albino. So much later two old people die and in their basement is this albino- called Powder. He has been living there to shield himself from light cause he burns easily or something.

So the people that find him go and make him go to school. He is very smart. He is like a human electric/magnet thing. I am not making this up.

What continues is lame acting and stupid lines by such people as Powder's science teacher (Jeff Goldblum). It also has a really dumb ending. This movie tries to make you feel for the characters. But it doesn't- instead you laugh at them.
