OK, now that I'm done reading the back of the box, I can start to review the movie. Those of you who have already read some of my reviews, may know that I am a Troma fanatic. If Troma makes a movie, you can guarantee, that I will want to see it. Sgt. Kabuki NYPD was no exception. I had been wanting to see it, ever since I first saw a preview for it, while watching a rented Troma movie, about 2-3 years ago. Finally, this summer, I was able to get a copy at Dragon Con. I couldn't wait to get home, so that I could watch it.

I love this movie. One of the better Troma movies that I've seen. The acting is good (for a Troma movie), the story is good (for a Troma movie), and the special effects are good (for a Troma movie.) That last sentence doesn't say much, but there is one sure thing, and that's that this movie is freakin' funny. That's right, not just funny, but freakin' funny. One thing that I noticed was a scene involving a car crash, where the car goes airborne, has been used in at least two other Troma movies. (Tromeo and Juliet, and I think it's in Terror Firmer.)

There really isn't much that I can say about, that's bad. It's a little slow at first, but thats about it.

I give it ***1/2 out of ****

Go get it now.
