Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is one of the few sequels that is better than the original in most aspects. Better story, better action, and better sets. Better dialogue, better villains, and better situations. This time Indy has two missions: rescue his father (Sean Connery) from the Nazis and retrieve the Holy Grail before the Nazis do. The inclusion of Sean Connery is mainly what makes the movie so great; he manages to be humorous and fatherly at the same time. Indy has his share of wacky locations for fight scenes, including on a tank, in a castle, and on some power boats! The weakest part of this movie is Indys girl. While she is involved in a neat plot twist, she doesnt do much other than gloat at Indy. If they had a character with some real independence, like in Raiders of the Lost Ark, the movie would be better. That being said, this is certainly the fastest-paced movie in the Indiana Jones trilogy. I give Indiana Jones
and the Last Crusade **** out of ****. |
