The Dream Machine

Starring Corey Haim, and Jason Lively

Haim is a piano tuner in this movie. He's tuning a piano for some old rich chick, who gives him a porsche that he had been admiring. Now neither the old lady nor Corey Haim knows it, but in a previous scene we saw that the old lady's husband had been killed, and his body had been stuffed in the trunk of this car. Add in a subplot of a fraternity, and you're in. This movie had real zaniness potential. Not only did it have a zany plot, but it has the zaniest of actors corey haim. However, this movie was really not that zany. By far the zaniest part of this movie was that Corey Haim's roommate was played by the replacement corey haim from rock and roll high school forever (who isn't nearly as painful in this movie, because he doesn't have to try to be corey haim). There's also a pretty zany car chase. But other than that, not much. This movie is a bit funny, and a bit zany. Without corey haim, this would have been a really bad movie... But it gets a 2 out of 5, thanks to Corey's saving performance.
