Tom Hanks is a pushy Fed Ex employee, who oversees international deliveries. On one of his deliveries, the plane crashes into the ocean, over the Pacific, and Tom Hanks is thrust onto an island that he can't leave. Now he has to survive with what little he has. Before I go any further, it should obvious that he does get off the island. You just don't know when, or how. I'll just say that I don't like the movie after he gets off. Every thing before that is fantastic. It was interesting the way he made due with what little he had, on the island. I only had a few problems with the movie, other than the ending. (Of course I don't blame the writers for going in the direction that they did with the ending.) I thought that Robert Zumeckis tried to hard to include a bunch of symbolism. Normally, symbolism is all well and good, but this movie was just blatant at times. (This movie is tough to talk about without giving away the good parts.) I still recommend it. *** out of **** |
