The Blair Witch has been a part of Burkittsville, Maryland history ever since it was first founded. In 1994, three film makers hiked into the woods in Burkittsville to film a documentary about the Blair Witch. Little did they know, that no one would ever see them again. One year later, their footage was found. The whole brilliance of this movie is the way it was shot. Three actors went into the woods with two cameras. That was it. Over the course of five days, they video taped themselves, and followed the pre-set instructions left by the director. This movie is not scary because of what your see, it's scary because of what you don't see. I don't want to spoil the ending, but never once, is any one other the three actors on film, (except at the beginning, when they are interviewing people who live in the town.) I recommend that if you see this movie, you watch it late at night with no lights on. When I saw it, I had already been awake about 40 hours, and it was 3 in the morning. I guess, you could say that I wasn't quite in my right mind. Becaues of that, this movie scared the sh*t out of me. I am not lying when I say, that I had to sleep with a light on. The movie lets your imagination scare you. I give it **** out of **** Go watch this now. In the dark. Late at night. |
