Alien was a suspense/horror movie. Aliens, directed by James Cameron, takes a total turn and makes a summer action movie out of the thing and makes a sequel that's better than the original. Although around 20 minutes were cut out of the original version, it's easy to find the director's cut of Aliens on video and DVD.
Aliens deals with Sigourney Weaver, who has been cryogenically sleeping since Alien. She ends up leading a squad of marines to deal with the a lot of aliens on a deserted base. Wow! Aliens is a very cool movie, grabbing at you and never letting go. The pace is always very fast, the aliens are ruthless, and the final battle is even cooler than the ending in the original movie. This one makes me wish James Cameron would have stuck around for Alien 3, but no such luck. The Queen Alien design is inspired, as is the robot sub-plot featuring (gasp) a sympathetic robot. Rent or buy this movie. You won't be disappointed!

This movie rules. It has fantastic characters, great directing, and great action. I always liked Vasquez the best. She could kick anyone's ass. I bet she could take Ripley's ass. If you watch the movie, you'll she that no alien could take her out. She had to take herself out. Another cool thing about this movie were the action figures that came out. Though the figure's articulation could have been better, the accessories were very cool.The aliens figures made the set. There were a bunch of different types of aliens, you could choose from. It was great. I guess the only thing that I didn't like about the movie was the fact that I was forced to watch it at least 30 different times at my friend's house, who happened to worship the movie. I just got sick of it.
