Movie trailers have been bugging the hell out of me for awhile. Most of the time they ruin the movie. Look at at Anti-Trust. In am movie that was supposed to filled with polt twist after plot twist, every one is revealed in the trailer. It's actually become a rare occurance that a movie trailer does not ruin a large portion of the movie. 3000 Miles to Graceland is one of those movies that wasn't ruined by the trailer, though after watching it, I kind wish that is had. After being stuck in a rut of only seeing mediocre movies, I finally saw a movie that really, really sucked. 3000 Miles To Graceland follows the adventure of Kurt Russel as he tries to stop Kevin Costner, get the money, and the girl. The movie includes bad dialogue, terrible directing, and some ridiculously bad acting. The story as a whole was a bit trite to begin with. The only part of the movie that could have had any redeeming value, were the gun fight scenes. These fights had the potential to be really cool. The first one taking place inside a casino between a bunch of cops, and five Elvis impersonators. It's a pretty cool idea. The other scene includes Ice T as psycho commando guy who basically, kicks a bunch of ass. This scene was also ruined by the directing and editing of it. There really isn't much about this movie that didn't suck. I give it *1/2 out of **** |
