Any film major can tell you that Zombie flicks are the superior
type of horror movie, but can they tell you why? Some of you
chromosome deficient readers might not be sure about what exactly
is a zombie. A zombie is an undead, mindless creature. Many of
them enjoy the taste of flesh, or brains. There are several ways to create a zombie including: Voodoo,
Toxic chemical exposure, demonic possession, psychic powers re-animating
the corpse, being bitten by the elusive rat monkey, or being
bitten by another zombie. These are a few of the different people who have made this
    genre great:

        | | George Romero: The god father of modern zombie movies.
He was the first to turn them into flesh eating monsters.
His films inlcude the "Living Dead trilogy".
 |

        | | Tom Savini: Considered by many to be one of the greatest special effects
people in the horror movie industry. He was the head effects
guy, for Dawn, and Day of the Dead, along with a bunch of
other horror movies. He also directed the 1990 remake
of Night of the Living Dead.
 |

        | | Lucio Fulci: the genius behind a number of Italian zombie gore-fests.
 |

        | | Sam Raimi: Directed the entire Evil Dead Trilogy. I usually wouldn't
consider these movies, zombies flicks, since the "Zombies"
in it, are possessed by demons, so they aren't really mindless,
but I'll let that slide for this article.
